Evaluation of Gender Policy Implementation in UNICEF

UNICEF wishes to engage a consultancy company to assist the organization to undertake an evaluation of the implementation of its gender policy.

The evaluation will examine how well UNICEF is promoting and contributing to gender equality results at national, regional and global levels, to make recommendations for improvements and to support UNICEF in the development of a revised strategy and plan of action to strengthen UNICEF’s contribution to the achievement of gender quality. The evaluation will look for evidence of UNICEF contribution to gender equality as well as the progress in gender mainstreaming.

The evaluation will begin in mid March 2007 and be completed before the end of July 2007.

UNICEF invites proposals from suitably qualified companies with substantial, relevant consultancy experience in evaluation of gender equality issues and knowledge of mainstreaming gender equality into policies/programming/development. The deadline for submission of proposals is Monday February 26th, 2007. The interviews will take place on March 6th/7th 2007.
