Purpose of group |
The purpose of the MENN is to provide a platform
for interested individuals, organisations and institutions
to share knowledge, opportunities, experience and other
resources in M & E. It is also an opportunity to
access professional consultants in Monitoring and Evaluation
in Nigeria and Africa. It is an informal medium to
support capacity building, strengthening and dissemination
of
monitoring and evaluation information in Nigeria under
a Network for Monitoring and Evaluation.
MENN will assist in bringing together local and international
professional evaluators, institutions and beginners in
evaluation profession with interest in Nigeria and Africa.
To learn together and create a platform for sharing information
and making efforts to bridge the gap between demand and
supply for evaluation capacity, utilization and institutionalization
particularly in Nigeria. Also to support the development
of evaluation theory and practice in Nigeria, Africa
and internationally. |

Current strategy and emphasis |
| |
MENN is presently pursuing the formalization of its
Network to provide legally and professionally credible
platform to its target audience, stakeholders and supportive
organizations. While also working on providing services
in terms of information on issues related to evaluation
with emphasis on motivate increased participation and
sustaining existing active participation of the membership.
There are limitations resulting from the challenges
posed by formalization, which is a basis for generating
value
incentive to achieve the set objectives of MENN.
Therefore, MENN is working towards formalizing its
Network. |

Means of communication with members, e.g.
newsletter, listserv, publication |
| MENN communicates effectively with members and non
members through its listserv. We do find internet to
be of high value and cost effective in meeting our demands,
because MENN presently has no income source. |
